Presidents Report 2007 Twelve months ago, we were suffering one of the most barren springs in living memory. Hill ewes suffered badly and lambings were memorable, mainly for the wrong reasons. One year on, and we are in the middle of one of the benign springs ever, Ewes are in good condition, the weather is exceptional and the grass is as it should be. The extra payment on LFASS is greatly welcome but the price of prime hoggs is very disappointing. I, and my committee are greatly indebted to Isobel for all her hard work on your behalf. All the best for the remainder of the year. T. G. O. Douglas, |
